Strengthen community responses and systems

Strengthen community responses and systems

Strong community responses and systems are central to resilient and sustainable systems for health and this objective aims to develop the capacity of communities to carry out effective monitoring, coordination and advocacy; creating the demand for services and reaching key or marginalised populations. It focuses on the need to build the capacity of community sector groups, organisations and networks in a range of areas including:

  • Support in planning, institutional and organizational development, systems development, human resources, leadership, and community sector organising.
  • Technical, material and financial support as required to enable them to fulfil roles in service provision, social mobilization, monitoring and advocacy.
