Project Summary

UNDP has managed Global Fund HIV and TB grants in Bosnia and Herzegovina between 2006 and 2016. The HIV grant is supported universal access to treatment for people who inject drugs, men who have sex with men, sex workers, prisoners and mobile populations. The goal of the program was to reduce HIV transmission and improve HIV treatment. The TB grant contributed to strengthening of the National Tuberculosis Program management, as well as improving TB laboratory services and infection control. UNDP is working with the government of Bosnia on planning the country's transition away from Global Fund support.
