Project Summary

UNDP has managed Global Fund HIV and TB grants in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2006. The HIV grant is supporting universal access to treatment for people who inject drugs, men who have sex with men, sex workers, prisoners and mobile populations. The goal of the program is to reduce HIV transmission and improve HIV treatment. The TB grant contributes to the strengthening of the National Tuberculosis Program management, as well as improving TB laboratory services and infection control. Both HIV and TB grants will end in 2016. UNDP is working with the government of Bosnia on planning the country's transition away from Global Fund support.
